      <image:title>Portfolio - Not Another Tabletop RPG</image:title>
<image:caption>Character Card for the Nerdy Girl. We wanted to base our character archetypes off of 80s teen tropes, and I think we did a pretty good job curating each character. While we worked as a group to narrow down which tropes to make characters out of, I designed and wrote most of the abilities of each character.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Portfolio - Not Another Tabletop RPG</image:title>
<image:caption>Character Card for the Popular Girl. There are a decent number of subsets of 80s tropes that we decided to include within each character, such as the "mean girl" and the "flower girl" being extensions of the popular girl but also very different from each other.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Character Card for the Metalhead. While all of these characters were fun to design and write, I had the most enjoyment designing the Metalhead, and that's probably because it's the closest one to me in real life besides the New Kid.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Portfolio - The Chosen One</image:title>
<image:caption>The initial playtest of The Chosen One. It was originally created with the Classic Mode only, in which there is only one interviewer throughout the entire playthrough. <image:caption>The box design of The Chosen One! I designed it based off of a real-life job application, changing the questions to be more wizard related. The physical box was ordered on The Game Crafter website, and I think it came out really nice.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The card designs of The Chosen One. I created them on Google Slides (lol), and I wanted the images to show the intent of the cards without using words. The card types, from left to right, are Potion Prompts, Potion Ingredients, Spell Casts, Spell Prompts, Open-Ended Questions, and Applicant Traits.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Portfolio - The Chosen One</image:title>
<image:caption>Examples of Open-Ended Questions. These questions are asked by the interviewer. and interviewees must come up with answers that incorporate secret traits, known only by the interviewer, into their responses. They were inspired by real-life interview questions, just with a wizard spin on them.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Portfolio - The Chosen One</image:title>
<image:caption>Examples of Applicant Trait Cards. These determine the traits that the interviewer must look for in the open-ended answers of the interviewees. I wanted to include a wide range of positive and negative traits to encourage a variety of answers.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Portfolio - The Chosen One</image:title>
<image:caption>Examples of Potion Ingredients. Interviewees must play a combination of these cards and explain why their potion solves the prompt asked by the interviewer. I wanted them to be slightly suggestive as to what purpose they served, but ultimately their effects are up to the players.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Portfolio - The Chosen One</image:title>
<image:caption>Examples of Potion Prompts. These prompts are asked by the interviewer, and they were designed to be open-ended enough to where there was no "right" answer as dictated by the potion ingredients.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Examples of Spell Casts. Interviewees must play a combination of these cards and explain why their spells solve the prompt asked by the interviewer. I designed them to be in Latin to make them seem more mysterious and to make the players feel like they were tapping into an ancient force.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My first iteration of our board. The hexagonal pattern was chosen to provide better movement strategies, especially because movement was limited by AP. The locations of preparation spots and resource foraging simply had their names and their AP cost, and they were played concurrently as recipes were created so that the flow of the gameplay as smooth.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My final iteration of the character cards. The new design now includes three components: the character itself, both named and drawn by me, the specific dish which the character requested, and the number of stars the players would generate depending on swiftness of completion.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My final iteration of the board. I worked with a wonderful designer named Daniel Valentine to make sure that each quadrant had a unique design that fit their theme. We expanded the finished dessert area both to limit movement space for players and require less AP usage to finish each dish. Each point of interest also now has a distinct design. The names and AP costs were moved to the reference book so that there wasn't too much visual clutter.</image:caption>
